An unforgettable weekend at deer camp became even more special when
Sally Hegewald harvested an incredible 14-point buck Friday evening during her 2026 CWF3 Whitetail Hunt.
Nominated by friends and family, Sally joined
Central Wisconsin Fur, Fin, & Feather (CWF3) for a weekend of hunting, friendship, and making memories with people who care about her.
Sally is currently battling stage 4 breast cancer. Having spent her adult life providing care to others, she has made a difference in many lives. CWF3 was honored to help create a meaningful experience for someone who has given so much.
The successful hunt was a highlight, but the time spent together at deer camp made the entire weekend something to treasure. Sally and her girlfriend, Ann, shared their gratitude for the experience and for the friends who joined them.
“Sally got her 14-pointer Friday evening, and it was such an amazing experience that will never be forgotten,” Ann wrote.
